ELLE 15th Anniversary Celebration First Annual ELLE STYLE AWARDS  -  November 07, 2006 The 2006 ELLE Style Awards which took place on 20th October, 2006 was the very first fashion award ceremony in Asia with participation from 7 Asian ELLE editions, organized by the International Chinese version of ELLE Taiwan. This event not only received the support and sponsorship of the fashion industry in Taiwan, but was deemed by all who attended, to be THE fashion event of the year. Celebrities, socialites and fashion industry representatives alike, all came fabulously attired, and where given the full red-carpet treatment with chauffeured services in Jaguar luxury sedans. This magnificent, multi-million dollar event was filled with utmost "starlight" fanfare. In celebration of its 15th anniversary, ELLE Taiwan not only took the opportunity to recognize various celebrities and fashion professionals, but also organized an event filled with splendid programs and performances for a truly resplendent evening. Included in the rundown were performances by male songwriter and artist, Gary Tsao, as well as the recently-crowned Golden Melody Award Best Female Vocalist, Tanya Tsai, followed by a night of jamming party music by DJ Liu Hsuen. The ceremony was hosted by renowned supermodel and TV host, Coco Chiang, who was also awarded "2006 Best Style in Taiwan" by ELLE. After a heated race, the list of winners was finally revealed with an overwhelming number of Taiwanese artists being crowned "Best Style" in various categories. Also announced was the two additional awards being added by the judges panel at the last minute due to an extremely close margin of scores between some nominees. The newly added awards are: "Most Stylish Chinese Actress" and "Most Stylish Chinese New Comer".
