| 15th Anniversary of ELLE Taiwan and 2006 ELLE Style Awards - October 11, 2006 |

| With 39 versions around the world, ELLE is women's beloved magazine. This year is just the 15th year of ELLE in Taiwan and the magazine will hold the "2006 ELLE Style Awards" to celebrate its anniversary. "ELLE Style Awards" has been held in UK and other countries for years and been always the biggest fashion event in local cities. Kylie Minogue, Charlize Theron and Vivienne Westwood, the famous celebrities, were once the guests for the event. This year, Taiwan will be the pioneer to host the event in Asia and combines with 7 versions around Asia including China, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, Thailand and Singapore. Unquestionably, the event will become the spotlight in Asia fashion circle.
Coco Chiang will be the hostess for the awards
Coco Chiang will be the hostess for 2006 ELLE Style Awards on Oct 20th. The former model, after having good performance in her first fashion TV program, she has been selected as the hostess of this special award due to her beauty and communication ability. And this is also the very first time for her to be in charge of such a big event. For this cooperation chance, ELLE designed a littlie surprise to her that was to award Coco as the "Stylish Figure of the Year in Taiwan" in the promotion press conference. She is very excited for the award and appointment. Let's look forward to her performance on Oct 20th.
Professional Jury: the most fair judgments
There will be three criteria for 2006 ELLE Style Awards. The professional and individual performance will be screened by the awards committee including editors from ELLE''s 7 Asian versions and delegates from its associate media, MTV and the other 9 experts from Taiwan such as Wang Xia Jun, Kuang Sheng, Lian Shi Liang, Chiang Yi Rong, Stephane Dou, Changlee Yu Gin. And, there will be an internet poll from Sep 12th to Oct 12th in the Greater China area and the votes will account for certain percentage of the final result of Individual Awards. Competitive Nominees from various professions
Now, the nominees have been appointed by editors from Taiwan, Hong Kong and China. Nominees of Most Stylish Actress include Zhang Zi Yi, the super star from China and Xu Xi Yuan, Shu Qi, Lin Hsi Lei, the shining stars from Taiwan; nominees of Most Stylish Actor include the best actor ever, Tony Leung, and the other 2 young actors Daniel Wu and Louis Koo from Hong Kong and Chang Chen, the character actor from Taiwan. Moreover, nominees of Most Stylish Female Singer include pop queen, Jolin Tsai, Vivien Xu from Taiwan and top artist, Kelly Chen from Hong Kong; nominees of Best Style Male Singer include pop idol, Vanness Wu and top vocal, David Tao from Taiwan and top vocal, Eason Chan from Hong Kong. On the other hand, the top models, Chiling Lin from Taiwan, Maggie Q from Hong Kong, Du Juan from China will compete with Most Stylish Model. Besides, nominees of Most Gorgeous on Stage include Lee Hom Wang, Karen Mok and Joey Yung. For Most Stylish Female Artist, hot mummy, Xu Xi Di from Taiwan, chic star, Miriam Yeung from Hong Kong and top actress, Zhou Xun from China. In addition, nominees of Rising Star in Asia include Patty Hou, Elva Xiao and Rainie Yang, all from Taiwan. Lastly, nominees of Most Stylish Celebrity include Amy Sun, Kenneth Yen and Demos Chiang, all from Taiwan. Soon, the winner of this exciting competition will be announced during the night of Oct 20th.
