Hachette Fujingaho is the only foreign publisher in Japan, where its 15 high-end magazines, mostly for women, have become a force to be reckoned with in the worlds of fashion, beauty and interior decoration. This position was further strengthened in April 2003 when the company entered into a licensing agreement to publish Marie Claire Japan. At the same time, Hachette Fujingaho also produces the Elle Online site-the leader in its category-as well as an i-mode site, Elle Mobile, which is featured in NTT-Docomo's official services menu. Hachette Fujingaho also has a major Custom Publishing activity in Japan. The Group continues to develop its business in South Korea with the launch in February 2003 of a Korean edition of Elle, Premiere and 25 Ans, Hachette Nextmedia now publishes 4 titles in South Korea.
